I have used OmniRig for many years with no issues. Yaesu has it in their flagship FT-9000D and Kenwood has. Another possibility is to use OmniRig which I have found is generally more reliable than Hamlib. ICOM introduced the first color TFT display in an HF rig with the 756PRO and now with the IC-7800. Note: Hamlib has a history of working in some releases, then not working in other releases.

As such, you might need to update the software in your IC-7800. By sparing no expense an incredible +40dBm intercept point has been. Sounds like there might be a software version coordination issue between the IC-7800 firmware and WSJT-X (which uses Hamlib for its communications drivers). The Icom IC-7800 is clearly one the most advanced amateur radio ever developed. I found this thread in the WSJT-X forum, which might explain the issue.
There really shouldn't be a problem connecting an IC-7800 to WSJT-X or other ham radio software. By navigating to Files > Config Files > Project Zomboid Server Settings.
